An hilarious interactive journey through music styles from Disco to Reggae, Punk Rock to Jazz!

person with wavey hair playing guitar

In One Stop Rock Shop, Aussie Kids Rock do so much more than just play their music. They individually demonstrate how they are playing their instrument, so it can produce the right sound needed to create each of the very different music styles. When the band members are playing, dressed and speaking in the style, they show how for the real devotees of each musical genre, the music is more than just music, it’s a whole way of life.

Audience participation is a huge part of the show with every song having (quick to learn) movements, chorus, dance steps or all three. It’s a great sight to see your whole school up enthusiastically singing and dancing to Wilbur The Worm.

These two are just as talented in their roles as comedians as they are musicians. Groovy guitarist and ace bass player CJ certainly gets his share of laughs but even he agrees that in this show it is debonair drummer Deano who gets the lion’s share of laughs. Whether Deano is cleaning his teeth because he didn’t get time before the show, travelling in his time machine to a 1970’s Discothèque or trying to learn how to use brushes on the snare drum to play jazz, his humour is spot on and has teachers and students laughing out loud.
