Jared Morgan combines his passion for science with his stage and comedy skills in this totally engaging, hands-on presentation. Alongside the laugh out loud and wow moments Jared recreates and explains experiments that are acknowledged as being defining moments in the study of chemistry, biology and physics.

In Chemistry Jared shows Monsieur Lavoisier’s experiments from the 1700’s that explored the theory of the atom (atomic theory).

The Biology experiment is loads of laughs as three students get transformed into giant birds and are set survival tasks and by doing so, demonstrate natural selection. If your food supply disappears and your beak is not designed to gather the alternate foods, what are you going to do?

For Physics it’s time to explore Newton’s laws of motion with a rocket race. Your students get to choose from a range of extras to add to their balloon rockets and everyone gets to predict whether these add-ons will enhance or hinder each rocket’s performance. Finally each rocket is attached to its track. Then it’s three, two, one, Blast Off and may the best rocket win.

There are more than just these three main experiments and along the way students learn about the language and terms used in science like ‘what is a hypothesis?’ ‘what is a theory?’ ‘what is a scientific law?’ and how science has changed the way we live.
