- test inquiry and exploration, problem solving and making informed evidence based decisions. Making Science fun.

Following the resounding success of Scien-tastic Tim and Ruth return with Scien-tastic 2 - Movement and Machines. While they both agree that science is fun, the pair differ on what the show is about. Ruth is eager to delve into the world of physics but Tim is determined to make some machines.

After a fiery but thankfully short disagreement, the two reach a compromise.

Ruth will go first, demonstrating Newton’s laws of motion and kinetic energy, followed by Tim demonstrating how levers, gears and pulleys work and how even the most complex gizmos and gadgets are made up of much smaller machines.

Through the course of the show the duo realises how intertwined their fields of interest, physics and engineering are. Appreciating that by working together and with the help of some volunteers, they create one Scien-tastic piece of machinery.

Ruth and Tim create their performances with the principals that fun, humour and audience participation is a great way to get students involved in science.
