Richard wants to be king. The only problem is that he's quite a long way down the line of succession. However if you want to get anywhere in this unfair world, sometimes you have to get your hands dirty: even if that means killing kings and your own family.

This delicious and bloody play follows Shakespeare's most entertaining villain as he limps and curses and kills his way to the top.

This is a bold re-telling, featuring a talented ensemble cast and live original music.

Director, Alex Kendall Robson, studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and had secured a scholarship to study at Shakespeare's Globe this year, before COVID-19 intervened. He has written two plays about the Bard, 'A Short Guide to Shakespeare' -- which was listed as a "must see" show of the 2014 Sydney Fringe Festival and toured the state -- and 'Shakespeare's Villains: Everyone But Iago.' He has also directed 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'The Tempest' and 'Twelfth Night'.
