Ghana Beat My Drum

This is an everyone-up, hands-on workshop, letting children explore the skills of rhythm and pitch needed by tomorrow’s musicians. Not only is drumming and body percussion lots of fun, it also involves counting and many other links with basic Maths.

There are percussion instruments of different shapes, sizes and pitch many conventional but some quirky and designed with kids in mind. Tom also uses a wide variety of music from classical to children’s songs, some new, others well known to the children, to get and keep everyone engrossed from beginning to end.
