Budding Little Scientists aims to engage your 3 to 5 year olds with totally safe, very visual and some hands-on scientific experiments. The first focus is on Energy. How we can Create, Store and Release Energy.
Within the first minutes of the show Microceratus, the cutest, funniest little dinosaur arrives and starts apologising for being late. He is supper excited, full of energy and desperately wants to be part of the show. Nathan soon has Ceratus calmed down as he shows him how to breathe and focus his energy.
After a couple of experiments with bouncing balls Ceratus wants to blow something up. Nathan suggests blowing up a balloon but Ceratus is not happy with that idea; well not until Nathan explains he can blow up the balloon by creating gas with a science experiment.
This very funny banter between Nathan and his puppet dinosaur friend keeps the children's attentions as they are introduced to age appropriate, fun science.
With the arrival of Nathan's second Dinosaur friend Regaliceratops Nathan introduces the little ones to Palaeontology and shows them fun shapes and toys you can make with origami.
However Microceratus is determined that you cannot do a science show without blowing something up. Nathan finally agrees they can blow stuff up ~ knock over the standing skittles ~ with a mini air canon. This is all lots of fun; however children are truly amazed at the blast of air that Ceratus' super-sized garbage bin vortex canon produces. Now that really gets things moving. Is it strong enough to knock over the super-sized skittle? And if so, from what distance?Familiar terms like fast, slow, strong, weak, loud, soft, larger and smaller are used as your kids get to predict outcomes.
With so much going on this lively, fun, 40 to 45 minutes will have all your Budding Little Scientists - laughing as they learn.
The children and teachers loved it! Very age appropriate and taught basic fundamentals of science through a fun and interactive show. Nathan was funny and engaging and well-practiced with the experiments - the kids loved the puppets too - Thank you Nathan!

Excellent, the performance was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and educators. It had a lot of humour that the children could relate to. The time that the performer gave at the end to meet the puppets up close and have photos was fantastic.
