In Santa’s Musical Journey children join in the celebrations of a number of the many countries Santa visits on his December sleigh ride. Your kids will participate in the different songs and celebrations of other children around the world and share their culture and different Christmas traditions.

Using an array of musical instruments, this joyful Christmas journey begins in the northern hemisphere. During Christmas in that part of the world snow often carpets the country making everything white and extremely cold, very different from our Australian Christmas.

We start in England with the classic ‘Jingle Bells’ but here it’s played in an upbeat ~British skiffle~ musical style. The banjo-lele and fun home-made instruments such as the Washboard and Kazoo are used to evoke the jovial nature of this festive season.

Then, it’s off to Spain for a “Feliz Navidad” (a Merry Christmas) where children are introduced to the Flamenco Guitar and an interactive Spanish song that helps teach basic Spanish language.

Next, just like the settlers did many years ago Pete moves from Europe to the Appalachian Mountains of North America for a good ol’ Christmas 'hoe down', before heading home here to Australia for a Christmas in the sun.

Catchy songs, comedy, quick to learn dance moves and traditional carols are all combined to make this exploration of Santa’s journey around the world a very entertaining experience. But that’s just the warm-up, the perfect way to end every Christmas experience is a very special visit from Santa himself.

Synopsis:

First there is the 40 minute show with Christmas themed songs, dances and fun. This is followed by about 7 minutes where your staff is required to entertain the children - read them a story, sing a song or two with them etc. During this 7 minutes Pete requires a room where he can change into his Santa Suit, after which Santa appears to greet the children. This Santa appearance works best if you have something for Santa to give each child ie a candy cane stick, stickers etc. From the start of the show to Santa's departure is about 55 to 60 minutes. So, in summary what you get is a most memorable Christmassy hour that finishes with an appearance from Santa.
